Baker City Police arrest local truck stop manager who stole over $9,000 over two months

BAKER CITY-A local truck stop manager was arrested Thursday after allegedly stealing over $9,000 from her employer.

Lexi Marie Krug, General Manager of the Love’s Truck Stop on Campbell Street, is accused of taking approximately $9,130 in cash through 13 separate transactions between November and December 2025. Investigator Josh Horlocker of the Baker City Police Department reported that Krug allegedly used her personal login to withdraw funds from a “cash recycler” machine in the store’s back room.

During the investigation, Krug reportedly provided a signed statement claiming she took the money because she was being blackmailed by gang members in Arizona. While she declined to provide further details regarding the alleged blackmail to police, she admitted the total theft likely exceeded $5,000.

Krug was taken into custody at her residence and lodged at the Baker County Jail on the following charges: 

-Five counts of Theft I

-Eight counts of Theft II
