Baker City man injured in Highway 7 motorcycle crash

BAKER COUNTY – On Friday, November 4, at around 12:40 p.m., the Oregon State Police responded to a reported motorcycle crash along Highway 7. This specifically occurred near milepost 46, roughly three miles south of Baker City. The rider, 31-year-old Jesse L J Corr, was reportedly transported to Saint Alphonsus Hospital for treatment and later cited for Careless Driving Resulting in an Accident. A summary of the crash, as provided by OSP in a recent press log, is as follows:

“OSP responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 7 near mile post 46. Roadway evidence and driver statements indicated a silver 2015 Yamaha 209 motorcycle was traveling northbound on Highway 7 near mile post 46, when the rider was weaving between lane lines. The rider lost control of the motorcycle when his foot peg caught the pavement. The rider and motorcycle slid down the pavement for approximately 100 yards gouging some pavement. The rider was transported by ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Hospital by ambulance. A friend of the rider recovered the motorcycle. The rider was issued a citation for Careless Driving resulting in an accident.”
