BAKER COUNTY– An attempt to elude ended in an arrest recently according to Oregon State Police in Baker County. The incident occurred with the OSP officer attempted to stop a vehicle along I-84 near milepost 266 outside of La Grande for failing to maintain lane and failure to signal a lane change.
The vehicle, a two-door black Honda, pulled to the right shoulder and stopped, upon the officer exiting his patrol vehicle, the suspect vehicle took off. The officer informed dispatch, and the on-duty supervisor of the situation.
A Union County Sheriff’s Deputy located the suspect vehicle, but the suspect eluded them. A Senior OSP Trooper was able to spike the vehicle’s tires on State Route 237 at mile 30. The pursuit left Union County and went into Baker County, where the vehicle stopped at a residence and the driver, 37-year-old Aubrey Scott Fryman ran from the vehicle. Fryman was caught and taken into custody and charged with Attempt to Elude Fleeing (Vehicle)
