Baker City man arrested for assault, DV, sex offender charges, and more

BAKER CITY — A man was arrested twice within two days last week in Baker City. At approximately 6:08 p.m. on January 13th, a Baker County Police Officer responded to a location on Midway Drive and arrested one subject for Harassment. James Scott Keister, 53, was arrested on the charge.

The following day, on January 14th, at approximately 5:24 p.m., a Baker County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a location on K street to serve an arrest warrant. James Keister was arrested on a Baker County Circuit Court Warrant for two counts of Failure to Report as a Sex Offender and an additional warrant for Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Criminal Mischief I, Menacing—Domestic Violence and Assault IV.

Keister is lodged in the Baker County Jail.
