Baker City Hosting Housing Production Strategy Survey

BAKER CITY – Baker city is taking steps to address local housing affordability needs in through a new housing production strategy (HPS). Based on an analysis of Baker’s current-to-20-year estimated housing needs, the HPS will address barriers to affordable and accessible housing, such as high cost and limited variety. A key piece of the HPS is gaining incite from baker city residents and property owners to determine common causes of housing inaccessibility. To this end, Baker City is hosting a housing production survey to allow for direct feedback on the issue. The survey can be found at Baker City Housing Production Strategy Survey (smartsheet.com). Questions cover, but are not limited to:

  • Ownership/residence status of the participant.
  • Housing accessibility challenges faced by the participant.
  • What types of housing the participant would like to see more of in Baker City (Duplexes, single family, apartments etc.)
  • What is the most important/pressing issue related to housing.
  • Maximum payment price ranges that the participant’s household can afford.

Additional information about the HPS can be found at Housing Production Strategy | Baker City, OR
