BAKER CITY – Baker city is taking steps to address local housing affordability needs in through a new housing production strategy (HPS). Based on an analysis of Baker’s current-to-20-year estimated housing needs, the HPS will address barriers to affordable and accessible housing, such as high cost and limited variety. A key piece of the HPS is gaining incite from baker city residents and property owners to determine common causes of housing inaccessibility.
