Baker City employees record 11 years without time-loss injury

BAKER CITY — It was around this time of year in 2025 when we reported that the Baker City Public Works Department had gone 10 whole years without reporting a job injury that would require someone to take time off. Thankfully, we can add another year to that total!

The City of Baker City was proud to announce on January 23^rd that the hard-working members of the public works crew have shown up for 11 years, looking out for each other and putting safety first. 

The city noted, “Public Works does tough, hands-on work every day, and this milestone says a lot about the team’s focus on safety, teamwork, and pride in what they do. We’re incredibly proud of this crew and grateful for everything they do to keep Baker City running.
