Baker City Community Night Returns August 1

BAKER CITY – (Release from the Baker City Police Department) Community Night Out is almost here!

This family-friendly event is Tuesday, August 1st at the Geiser Pollman Park beginning at 5:00pm. Come out and get to know your local law enforcement agencies, civic groups, and neighborhood organizations! Designed to heighten awareness of crime and drug prevention, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs and strengthen neighborhoods’ relationships with local law enforcement and community partners, this event also features free dinner, live music, and a chance to win some amazing prizes.

Please see the flyer (above) for more information, including a list of the event’s sponsors and vendors. If you would like to reserve a booth space, there is still time! Contact Phoebe Wachtel by calling 541-524-2014 or by email at officemanager@bakercitypd.gov.

A special thank you goes to the Oregon Trail Restaurant for providing the food at less-than wholesale cost, to Elkhorn Grills for cooking, to the Baker Lions Club volunteers for serving, to Safeway for providing the soda, water, and ice for this event, to Frank Carlson for performing live at the Powder River Pavilion and event co-sponsor Oregon Trail Electric Co-Op!

Hope to see everyone there!
