Baker City announces street and pathway closures for projects

BAKER CITY — Residents and commuters in Baker City should be aware of upcoming street and pathway closures which the city says is due to essential maintenance and beautification efforts in the area.

Street Closure on 7th Street

From June 18 to June 21, 7th Street in Baker City will be closed between Valley Avenue and Court Avenue. The closure is necessary for the installation of a new wastewater manhole, which is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve infrastructure.

Leo Adler Memorial Pathway Closure

Additionally, sections of the Leo Adler Memorial Pathway will be closed for landscape maintenance and beautification on June 20 and 21, 2024. The pathway from H Street to Kirkway Park will be closed from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on June 20 and from noon to 5:00 p.m. on June 21.

This project will involve LDS youth group members and adult volunteers who will work on various tasks to enhance the aesthetics and usability of the pathway. Community members who wish to participate or provide snacks for volunteers can contact Josh Anderson at (541) 805-9650.
