Back by Popular Demand, OTEC to Give Away Thousands of Free LED Lightbulbs!

EASTERN OREGON – (Release from OTEC) Because of the enormous turnout and support of Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative’s LED lightbulb giveaway earlier this month, your member-owned cooperative wants to do it all again!

Beginning Monday, September 20 through Wednesday, September 22, OTEC will once again be handing out a free four pack of LED lightbulbs to OTEC member-owners who stop by any of the co-op’s four offices. The four lightbulbs are valued at $20.

The lightbulbs will be handed out on a first-come, first basis and the giveaway will stop once supplies have run out. OTEC will announce on social media and radio when lightbulbs have run out.

“We were overjoyed by the incredible response of our members from our first giveaway, so we want to do what we can to give back to the communities we serve and give more members these incredible lightbulbs to teach everyone the value of energy efficiency.” said Joe Hathaway, OTEC’s Communications Manager. “We have thousands of lightbulbs to hand out, so we hope that anyone who was left empty-handed last time can visit our offices, pick up a pack and help keep their home energy efficient!”

OTEC also want to remind all members that for those looking to upgrade their home, business, or agricultural equipment, OTEC offers rebates for member-owners who invest in energy-efficient equipment, potentially saving that member hundreds of dollars. OTEC also offers rebates for those who buy their appliances or equipment locally! Find out more information about OTEC energy-efficiency rebate program at otec.coop/programs-rebates.
