One confirmed fatality in reported avalanche at Anthony Lakes

BAKER COUNTY – UPDATE – 10:10pm: The Baker County Sheriff’s Office confirms one person has died. They won’t be releasing any names until next-of-kin have been notified.

Update – 6:00pm: Union County Search and Rescue confirms it is also at the mountain assisting Baker County. No other details have been made available.

Baker County Dispatch says it received a 911 call reporting an avalanche on Gunsight Peak around 4:00pm on Wednesday, March 6.

BCSO Deputies and Baker County Search and Rescue are responding to the area.
