WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department has opened an arson investigation after firefighters were dispatched at 12:29 a.m. to a residential structure fire at 107 Bush Street Thursday. City fire investigators determined the fire was intentionally set.
The initial reporting party advised that the fire was on the structure’s exterior, and that home was under construction.
When firefighters arrived, they found light smoke and a small fire showing from the residence’s exterior. All occupants evacuated safely and there were no injuries to the occupants or firefighters reported.
Damage is estimated at $3,500.
The Walla Walla Fire Department responded, along with Walla Walla County Fire District No. 4 as part of a mutual-aid agreement.
