Arrest made after thefts in Muddy Creek area Northwest of Haines

HAINES– (Update from the Baker County Sheriff’s Office) On March 16, 2022, deputies arrested Ty Lewis (18 years old) of Haines, Oregon on charges of Theft I, Criminal Mischief I, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Lewis was lodged in the Baker County Jail.
(Original press release from the Baker County Sheriff’s Office) On March 1, 2022, Baker County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received information regarding thefts in the Muddy Creek area northwest of Haines. It was reported that a red 1999 Honda ATV, fuel cans, aluminum loading ramps, and a fuel transfer tank had been taken from two separate properties.
