Arrest for Assault IV, Resisting Arrest and Escape III

LA GRANDE – A La Grande woman was taken into custody on multiple charges earlier this week after she reportedly took her boyfriend’s vehicle without permission. 41-year-old Rachel McCall reportedly assaulted the victim causing him visible injury to his hand after she intentionally slammed the door on his hand. McCall was reported to be suffering from a mental health crisis.

McCall was arrested on a mandatory domestic violence assault charge. McCall resisted arrest and attempted to flee the officers as they were trying to take her into custody. No one was injured during the arrest procedures.

McCall was lodged in the Union County Jail for Assault IV, Resisting Arrest and Escape III.
