Areas of Walla Walla County under Level 1 “Be Ready” evacuation notice

WALLA WALLA COUNTY – As of 2:23 p.m. Thursday, Walla Walla County Emergency Management reports residents living in the vicinity of Badger Hollow Road and Smith Springs Road, north of Prescott, need to be aware that due to a large fire in their area a level one evacuation notice (BE READY) has been issued by the on-scene incident command.

Unless you are part of the fire response, people are asked to avoid the area so that fire personnel can safely navigate the area.

Walla Walla County Emergency Management said that more information will be posted as the situation warrants.
