April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month-one text or call could wreck it all!

EASTERN OREGON– April is here and that means the start of National Distracted Driving Awareness Month.

Districted Driving refers to more than just cell phones.  According to Wikipedia, “Distracted driving is the act of driving while engaging in other activities which distract the driver’s attention away from the road. Distractions are shown to compromise the safety of the driver, passengers, pedestrians, and people in other vehicles.”

Visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website for more information on how data on motor vehicle crash deaths are collected and the limitations of distracted driving data.

REMEMBER… ONE TEXT OR CALL COULD WRECK IT ALL!
