The Anthony Lakes Ski Racing Association (ALSRA) wrapped up an exciting weekend of racing at Broadway Blast, held March 28–29 at Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort. Racers of all ages came together for a fun and energetic weekend that combined alpine racing, Nordic competition, and freestyle excitement.

The event featured three unique competitions designed to challenge athletes across different skiing disciplines. Racers took on the Super-G, testing their speed and technical skills on a fast alpine course. The Nordic Sprint tested athletes’ endurance and quick acceleration. The Gelände Jump showcased bravery as racers launched off the jump on Rock Garden. Skiers and snowboarders on the chairlift cheered as they watched competitors send it off the jump on the black diamond run, making it one of the most exciting moments of the weekend.

Broadway Blast continues to be a favorite ALSRA event because it brings together racers, families, and community members for a weekend that highlights both competition and fun on the mountain.

ALSRA also recognized Blaire Buchert as the team’s Most Inspirational Teammate for the season. Blaire has dedicated herself to improving her ski racing skills while also being a positive teammate. You can often find her in the lodge helping younger skiers or cheering them on at the top of the race course. She is someone younger racers naturally look up to.

Broadway Blast also marks the conclusion of the ALSRA racing season. We extend a sincere thank you to our coaches and volunteers who dedicate countless hours to supporting our athletes, and to Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort for being such an incredible partner in allowing our racers to train and compete on the mountain. We are also grateful to our community sponsors whose support helps make this program possible.

We can’t wait for another great season next year!
