BAKER/UNION COUNTIES — Fresh snow and sunshine awaited hundreds of veterans and their families at Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort.
The ski area hosted its 10th annual “Veterans Ski Day” on Monday, February 26.
The event invites all veterans and their families to have the mountain to themselves for one full day, with free rentals and lift tickets. Lunch was provided, as well as veterans resources being on site for those who were interested.
“It was a great time, we had about 150 skiers and snowboarders and about 250 people (veterans and their families) show up,” said Chelsea Judy, spokesperson for Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort. “We want to give a big thank you to Union County Veterans Services!”
