LA GRANDE, OR – The La Grande Drug Take Back Day held Saturday, was another success with 90 pounds turned in. The event took place at Safeway which brought in numerous citizens, wanting to safely dispose their expired and unwanted medications. The La Grande Police Department said even with the event behind us, several safe disposal kiosks are available to rid unwanted or expired medications. A drug drop box is available at Grande Ronde Hospital, Red Cross Drug Store and at the lobby at the La Grande Police Department. Also, a kiosk will be available at Rite Aid. Wallowa County also received unwanted medications at the Wallowa County Justice Center at a drop box, which is available in the lobby at the center.
