Annual Migratory Bird Festival To Be Held Virtually

By on Thursday, April 1st, 2021 in Eastern/Southeast Oregon News

Every April, hundreds of visitors flock to Harney County to witness thousands of migratory birds making their way north along the Pacific Flyway. The Harney Basin is very-nearly the halfway point for birds from Coastal Texas, the Mexican Highlands and Central California traveling to their breeding grounds in Canada, Alaska and even eastern Siberia.  This year, the Migratory Bird Festival is going virtual, running April 22nd-25th. The event will feature live presentations via ZOOM, one in-person caravan tour for locals and one in-person nature walk, the Youth Wildlife Art contest and more.
