MALHEUR COUNTY — The Nyssa FFA Chapter reports that there is a new requirement for all FFA members attending the Malheur County Fair and showing a livestock animal this year. The Youth for the Quality Care of Animals Certification goes over proper care for a livestock animal, and more. The training costs $12.00 and must be completed to show an animal at the Malheur County fair.
According to YQCA’s website, Youth for the Quality Care of Animals is a national multi-species quality assurance program for youth ages 8 to 21 with a focus on three core pillars—Food Safety, Animal Well-Being, and Character Development.
