Altercation in Haines leads to arrest

HAINES – (Release by the Baker County Sheriff’s Office) On February 20, 2021 at approximately 9:57 p.m., Baker County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a call regarding a domestic disturbance at 1220 Cole Street in Haines.

Upon arrival, deputies determined that Nathen Ray Kirk (34 yoa) and XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX were involved in a physical altercation. Both parties were arguing when Nathen lunged at XXXXXX with a knife. XXXXXX went into another room and retrieved a can of pepper spray. As he came out of the room, Nathen threw the knife at him. XXXXXX then sprayed Nathen in the face with the pepper spray.

After receiving treatment for his injuries, Nathen Kirk was arrested and charged with Menacing. He was transported and lodged in the Baker County Jail.
