PRESS RELEASE
Grant School District #3
Shared Responsibility and Communication is Key to School Safety Nov 26, 2024
The District is grateful to have received a report of a potential threat to Grant Union during the evening of Nov 25, 2024 and the quick action of law enforcement to investigate and determine the threat was not actionable. This is a strong reminder that all of us have a shared responsibility to keep our school community safe.
Grant Union staff and students are implementing a new program called ThreatZero. Gordon Larson brought this program to the District through his position with Grant County Educational Service District as the School Safety and Prevention Specialist.
Below is a link to an introductory video explaining the ThreatZero Program and what each of us can do to assure safety for our school community. This program is preventative and strives to identify students who are in distress so we can deploy resources to prevent an event and provide the help they need.
