HARNEY COUNTY-Could it really be fall? Public use restrictions are again reduced within the Burns Interagency Fire Zone.
All of Burns Interagency Fire Zone is at Moderate Fire Dangers and Industrial Fire Precaution Level 1.
For public lands managed by the BLM, campfires and personal chainsaw use are allowed with a 1-hour fire watch).
Public lands managed by the US Forest Service within the Emigrant Creek Ranger District, Public Use Restrictions Phase A, which means campfires and personal chainsaw use between the hours of 8pm and 1pm are allowed with a 1-hour fire watch.
Fireworks, exploding targets, etc. remain prohibited.
Did you know abandoned campfires are at the top of the list for human-caused wildfires. Before you leave your camp or warming site, cool your coals. Make sure your fire is dead out and cold to the touch.
