WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Regional Airport, which is owned and operated by the Port of Walla Walla, welcomes Alaska Airlines’ inaugural jet service today (Monday).

The Embraer 175 jet will replace the Bombardier Q400 turboprop. The jet offers 76 seats, the same number that was offered on the turboprop. It also has amenities that include first-class and premium-class seating, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The regional jet is also faster and quieter than the Q400.

Alaska Airlines and its regional airline, Horizon Air, has operated at the Walla Walla Regional Airport since 1985. They currently run one round trip flight per day between Walla Walla and Seattle.
