ONTARIO — Officials with Alameda Intermediate Elementary School in Ontario say the school’s playground will soon undergo a “complete transformation” this month.
According to an informational release, “Alameda Intermediate is partnering with TPL [Trust for Public Land] to replace outdated equipment and asphalt with a green space featuring interactive play equipment, full sized covered basketball court, local art, and a tree canopy. This project is designed to serve both students and the broader community as a high-quality recreational hub.”
Looking to the future, the school explained that “…while construction will temporarily impact daily routines and weekend sports, the project will result in a brand-new, modern community schoolyard by September 2026.”
The efforts are being fully funded by the Trust for Public Land (TPL).
