PENDLETON – The Eastern Oregon Regional Airport lost some of its long-term parking when the Radisson Hotel was built. Airport Manager Dan Bandel said that the current amount of parking is adequate, but the plan is to add more.

“We have some areas that we’re looking at to expand the parking lot over where the old pilot house used to be,” he said. “We’re looking to expand that across the main driveway.”

The entrance to the terminal remains the same. Motorists should drive straight past the hotel to the front of the terminal. Indoors, the layout for Boutique Airlines remains the same, but the upgrades are making a big difference to the public.

“Do not forget to sit down in our plush leather seats,” he said. “I’m directly responsible, with Erica Stewart’s help, in getting those absolutely amazing pieces of furniture in the terminal.”

He said people come in and say they don’t want to fly, they just want to sit and read.
