Aircraft crashes in Adams County, pilot killed

LIND – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports a pilot died after his plane went down in a field north of the 300 block of West Lind-Warden Road approximately 16 miles west of U.S. 395 and the town of Lind Saturday evening. The pilot has been identified as Gavin Morse, 38, of Lind.

The plane reportedly went down at 5:40 p.m. Deputies, along with fire and EMS responded to the scene. Morse died at the scene. His family has been notified.

The Federal Aviation Administration was contacted and will be conducting an investigation in conjunction with the sheriff’s office.
