LOSTINE, OR – A final agreement has been signed with the City of Lostine and the U.S. Post Office for a new building that will begin construction in April or May. According to the City of Lostine the new modular building should be ready to accept patrons by August. Currently the Post Office is located on Highway 82 across the City Hall and the new location will be on the southeast corner of Neal Park behind the City Hall.
The reasoning that the current Post Office has to be moved is a portion of the building is attached to a home and the homeowner decided not to renew the lease. The City of Lostine learned the loss of the lease last year.
