Adopting a Resident for the holidays

LA GRANDE – Grande Ronde Retirement in La Grande is trying to make a difference for their residents during Christmas. A program called “Adopt-A-Resident” was started when some senior citizens at Grande Ronde Retirement didn’t have any family members or families nearby to help celebrate the holiday season with their loved ones. Keara Bolin, Lifestyle Director said a gift of winter items, snacks, and holiday gifts, are needed. After the gift is brought to the facility, the gift will be given to the assigned resident.
