PENDLETON – The Blue Mountain Community College Board of Education has added a fourth person to its list of finalists being interviewed for the presidency. Interim President Connie Green said that adding the additional candidate on Monday will not slow down the process of selecting the top finalist.

“It doesn’t change their timeline,” she said. “Their intent was to meet on Wednesday the 16th before the board meeting.”

Green said that while a clock is ticking, the board wants to be absolutely sure that the person who is offered the job is the right person for the college and the community.

“We thought you could have somebody here by the end of August, the first of September with the timing that is there,” she said. “I think that is still possible. If for some reason it’s not, then we’ll all figure out together how we make it work.”
