Adam Rd. bridge in Canyon City to undergo repairs

CANYON CITY – UPDATE: The closure of the Adam Road bridge, originally scheduled for August 13^th, has been delayed. That’s according to Grant County Road Department personnel. Crews must do more in-stream work before closing the bridge for repairs. GCRD will provide updates once the closure is expected to take place.

PREVIOUS: Grant County Road Department crews are planning a temporary closure of the Adam Road bridge in Canyon City tomorrow to repair vandalism. Road Department personnel informed our newsroom that someone’s clandestine prospecting operation caused damage to the bridge. The closure will be in place between 7 and 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning, August 13^th, while crews undergo repairs. Call the Grant County Road Department if you have questions at (541) 575-0138.
