ENTERPRISE – During the Enterprise City Council meeting Monday night, the council approved moving forward with a Grant Agreement between the City of Enterprise and the Oregon Department of Transportation. The City was awarded $100,000 to reconstruct and repair portions of Eugene Street and Residence Street. The project will also include installing curbs and gutters, as well as an overlay on Pace Avenue.

Also, Lacey McQuead City Administrator updated the council on the search for a new Police Chief. The position was posted on January 4th and updated to “Open until Closed” (rather than a deadline for applications) last week. She explained that she has been working closely with CIS to find the best person for this position. She reminded the council that we still have the option of entering the Linebacker Program with Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police, but if we could get someone who was interested and qualified within the next couple of months, this option might not be necessary. She will follow-up with Council and provide an update during the February meeting.
