ENTERPRISE – The Enterprise City Council met in special session Monday night with a committee that led the current hiring process for a Chief of Police. After interviewing two candidates for the position the Enterprise City Council voted to extend a conditional offer of employment to Kevin McQuead. The Police Committee reviewed City of Enterprise ordinances, relating to Relatives and Reporting Misconduct. The Police Committee reminds the public that the Police Chief reports and answers directly to the City Council. As a result of the policy review the City Council does not feel any nepotism or conflict of interest has occurred with the hiring process or will occur as the City of Enterprise policies are followed.
As of late Tuesday afternoon, McQuead accepted the conditional offer of Police Chief.
