NYSSA — The Owyhee Riding Club are doing what they can to ensure children in and around the community of Nyssa have a bright holiday season. The club recently held their “Back the Blue” event, which raised money in support of the Nyssa Police Department.
Owyhee Riding Club personnel stated, “Thanks again to our sponsors who helped make our Back the Blue event great, the volunteers who hustled to keep the day running and especially the competitors who came out! Because of all of you, today we were able to hand the Nyssa Police Department a check for $2,500 to go towards their Shop With a Cop program!”
Nyssa Police Department posted to their social media, saying, “This is incredible, thank you so much for the support. Our Christmas Gift drive has been such a great opportunity for us to give back to our community.”
The Owyhee Riding Club mentioned, “Nyssa runs an extra special program– the first responders and their families purchase, wrap AND deliver presents to kids in their community. We hope our contribution keeps you busy NPD. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special cause.
Our mission hasn’t changed. Take care of the community we are blessed to be a part of, give back where we can and keep the Western way of life alive and thriving.”
