ENTERPRISE – Following a period of uncertainty, the City of Enterprise recently named its newest police chief. On Monday, October 5th, the city announced via social media that Alan Juilfs had officially been sworn in as the new interim chief of the Enterprise Police Department, writing:
“Wishing you the very best as you begin this new chapter serving our community. Welcome to EPD, Chief Juilfs”
Earlier this year, now former Enterprise Police Chief Kevin McQuead announced he would be stepping down in September, sparking serious discussion within the city on the future of the local police department. This debate reached a peak in mid-July when Enterprise residents demonstrated strong support for maintaining the department, backed by concerns from Wallowa County Sheriff Ryan Moody that his own department had limited manpower and could become strained by the additional duties.

Good luck and congratulations to Chief Juilfs.
