Missing Weston man found unharmed

PENDLETON – The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office says a missing man from Weston has been found unharmed.

Officials did not provide any additional information regarding the circumstances or location where Michael Hugh Jones, 72, was found. On Tuesday, an update on the case said surveillance video captured Jones on Sept. 10 at a Walmart in Warrenton with an unidentified man. Surveillance cameras recorded Jones again on Sept. 20 at a Walmart in Chehalis, Washington.

Jones had last been seen Sept. 8 at his home in Weston, where he took a bus to Pendleton and returned home with an unknown man. He later left with the man to get dinner and had not been seen since. His friend and roommate reported Jones missing on Sept. 12.
