Local High School Leaders Kick Off New Year with Annual Fall Gathering

ENTERPRISE — Enterprise High School student leaders in FCCLA and FFA gathered last night to host their long-standing annual “Fall Gathering,” an event designed to introduce new students to youth leadership and foster community collaboration.
The joint event has been a cornerstone of the school’s student activities for over two decades. The two organizations share leadership duties to pull off the evening: FCCLA organizes a potluck-style meal, while FFA coordinates the venue and team-building games.
Senior student leader Jake Journigan—who has attended the event throughout all four years of high school—highlighted the gathering as a vital networking and learning experience rather than a formal business meeting.
“It really breaks down individual clubs into a bunch of high schoolers engaged in leadership and wanting to do better in their community,” Journigan explained. “It’s an initiation into high school and into the clubs, showing underclassmen all of the great opportunities they can have.”
Following the success of the Fall Gathering, the next major milestone on the schedule will be the FCCLA New Member Initiation on October 29, where new inductees will receive their official chapter pins. And FFA will be sending sophomore members to the National Conference in Indianapolis, IN October 19-26.
