Union, Wallowa & Baker Counties see 13 wolf depredations since June 2026

NORTHEAST OREGON – Following another hiatus, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has released new information on investigated wolf depredations across Oregon. Since June 30, 2026, Union, Baker, and Wallowa Counties have experienced 13 confirmed and probable wolf depredations, resulting in 72 dead and 4 injured livestock. The majority of the dead animals were from an incident that occurred on around August 8 that saw 59 chickens killed. All other livestock were cattle or sheep.
