Wallowa County Planning Commission Meeting
Summary
Notice is hereby given of a public meeting to be held by the Wallowa County Planning Commission on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 7:00 pm in the Thorton Room of the Wallowa County Courthouse. This hearing will include: FINDINGS - CUP#26-04__GREENSHIELDS-WILLIS – The Wallowa County Planning Department is considering the request for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP#26-04) submitted by Randy Greenshields of ETS Adventures, LLC. The proposed Conditional Use is for a new 7000-sq ft mixed- animal veterinary clinic. The property in question is described as Township 02 South, Range 44E, Section 0100, Tax Lot 200, and Reference# 2267, in the Exclusive Farm Use (EFU) zone. The site currently does not have an address and consists of 3.87 acres. The subject parcel was recently configured through a Lot Line Adjustment. CUP#26-05__VENCILL – B&B The Wallowa County Planning Department is considering the request for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP#26-05) submitted by Stuart and Carol Vencill. The proposed Conditional Use Permit is a request for a Home-based Occupation in the form of a Bed and Breakfast. The property in question is Tax Lot 1400, in the Rural Residential (R-1) zone, located at Township 02 South, Range 45E, Section 19. The physical address is 66367 Riverview Lane, Joseph, Oregon 97846 and consists of approximately 6.3 acres. The subject property was previously the site of a Bed & Breakfast before being retired. These matters will be reviewed for conformance to the WCCLUP and all relevant WCLDO articles, and any other applicable goal, regulation or ordinance of Wallowa County or the State of Oregon. All applications and staff reports may be reviewed in the Planning Dept. Monday – Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Written comments must be received by the Wallowa County Planning Department – 101 S River St. Room 105, Enterprise OR 97828 – by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Oral comments may be given at the time of the hearing, which is open to the public.
