WALLA WALLA — Walla Walla County officials have determined that Amazon Data Services’ land-use application for a proposed data center campus is complete, moving the multi-million-dollar project into its next phase of review.

The Seattle-based tech giant plans to build the Amazon Attalia Data Center Campus on a 134-acre parcel in the Wallula Gap Business Park along Sundance Road, roughly 1.4 miles east of Highway 12. The proposal features three 220,000-square-foot data center facilities, a security building, an industrial water facility, and infrastructure for a future utility substation.

Walla Walla County Community Development Director Melissa Shumake noted the determination means the site development permit and environmental review applications contain sufficient information for continued processing.

A final decision on the development has not been made.
