Dawn Marten hired as Blue Mountain Hospital District’s first Certified Nurse Midwife

JOHN DAY – Blue Mountain Hospital District has announced that a new provider is coming to the John Day hospital. Dawn Marten is the district’s first Certified Nurse Midwife, who will be starting in her position next month. Dawn comes to Grant County with nearly 30 years of nursing experience, with a focus on maternal, women’s and family health.
The hospital district reports that over the past year, they’ve welcomed 9 full-time providers across emergency care, obstetrics, and family practice. BMHD stated, “Dawn will be our 10th full-time provider, further strengthening two essential services for healthy communities: family medicine and maternity care.”
