Joseph –The FFA may seem like its all about agriculture, industry, and science, but the organization allows youth to practice a wide variety of skills and talents, including music. Those youth with particular musical skills may even get the opportunity to take to the station during the National FFA convention. For one Joseph student, that’s exactly the case.
The Oregon FFA recently announced that the Joseph FFA Chapter’s own Genevieve Perry has officially been selected to participate in the 2026 National FFA Chorus. Perry was the only Oregon FFA member to be named to the chorus this year and one of only a handful of Oregon members selected to perform on stage at national convention! As written by the Oregon FFA in the recent announcement:
“For more than 70 years, National FFA Band and Chorus have brought together musically talented FFA members from across the country to perform throughout National Convention. National FFA Talent gives members another opportunity to share their unique abilities and passions with thousands of fellow FFA members and guests.
Being selected for one of these groups is more than an opportunity to perform. It is a chance to represent Oregon FFA, build friendships with members from across the nation, and share talents that have been developed through dedication, practice, and a willingness to step onto the national stage.”
The 2026 National FFA Convention is scheduled for October 21-24 in Indianapolis Indiana. Good luck and congratulations to Genevieve Perry!
