PENDLETON – The Pendleton City Council meets at 7 p.m. today (Tuesday) and one of the items on the agenda is the council’s 120-day moratorium on new marijuana business licenses.

The moratorium will expire Thursday. The agenda states the council can either let it expire or make it permanent. City Manager Robb Corbett told Elkhorn Media Group there is another option. The council can simply decide to extend it for a set period of time.

The council will also hear its annual human resources update, swear in a new police officer, and consider endorsing some or all of the legislative priorities for the League of Oregon Cities (LOC).

The LOC creates a long list of priorities spanning several topics. The league then asks each city council to consider the recommendations and vote. These votes are then tallied to create a list of priorities for the LOC’s lobbyists to support in the coming session of the Oregon Legislature.

The meeting is in council chambers of Pendleton City Hall. It can also be joined via Teams HERE.
