HARNEY COUNTY-A man wanted out of Idaho on an outstanding warrant signed a waiver of extradition in Harney County Circuit Court on Thursday, August 6, clearing the way for his transfer back to Idaho authorities.
Joshua Allen Longo appeared before the court regarding a fugitive from justice complaint. The complaint stems from an August 3 warrant issued by the Third Judicial District Court in Payette County, Idaho, alleging that Longo violated the terms of his pretrial release.
During the proceedings, Longo was formally informed of the extradition demand from Idaho officials and his identity was verified. Longo subsequently executed a waiver of extradition and declined to request time to file a Writ of Habeas Corpus. He was represented by defense attorney Stetson E. Kizzar of Steens Mountain Defenders.
The court ordered Longo remanded to the custody of the Harney County Sheriff’s Office, where he will await transfer to Idaho law enforcement officers. Under the terms of the court order, Idaho officials have until 5:00 p.m. on August 20, 2026, to take Longo into custody, after which he must be released from the Harney County facility.
