All evacuation levels lifted near Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY — Malheur County Emergency Management reports that all evacuation levels have been removed for the Jordan Valley area. The evacuation zones were in place due to the Big Grass Fire that began July 23^rd following a lightning storm. Emergency Management personnel state, “Fire danger has passed,” and folks can, “Return to pre-evacuation levels.”

The Big Grass Fire was 35% contained as of Wednesday, August 5^th. It has grown to 358,959 acres.
