No injuries reported from Ontario RV fire

ONTARIO – (From Ontario Fire and Rescue) On August 4th, at approximately 10:45 AM, Ontario Fire & Rescue (OFR) was dispatched to 849 Morgan Avenue, in the Ontario Rural Fire Protection District, for an RV on fire with other trailers and a residence threatened. OFR responded with Engine 103 (crew of 3) and command 105 (crew of 1). While in route, a general page was requested for all available off-duty and part-time on-call firefighters, as well as mutual aid assistance from Vale, Nyssa, Parma, and Payette fire departments. Upon arrival, OFR found an RV and a UTV on a trailer fully involved with fire, with a horse trailer partially involved. Engine 103 made a fast attack, knocking the fire down and limiting damage to the horse trailer. Mutual aid resources were cancelled. Ontario Rural Fire Protection District’s Pumper/Tender 155 (crew of 3) arrived to assist with mop up. Two OFR firefighters remained at Station 1 to cover additional calls. The RV, UTV and trailer were destroyed and the horse trailer sustained partial fire damage. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
