SALEM – The fourth meeting of Gov. Tina Kotek’s Rebuilding Our Transportation Vision Workgroup will be Friday at 9 a.m. The meeting can be viewed on the Oregon Department of Transportation’s YouTube channel.
Umatilla County Board of Commissioners Chairman Dan Dorran is one of the members. He is the also chair of the Northeast Area Commission on Transportation and co-chair of the Association of Oregon Counties Transportation and Community Development Subcommittee. Dorran also serves on the Oregon Road User Fee Task Force.
At this meeting, the group will hear from transportation experts from other states on transportation funding and delivery approaches. At the meeting, the workgroup will discuss its plans for an online open house to discuss possible ways to address ODOT’s funding crisis.
The group is tasked with recommending various concepts to build “an achievable and comprehensive vision for Oregon’s transportation system. Its members are studying needs, funding challenges, priorities, and tradeoffs. It will then provide recommendations for the 2027 session of the Oregon Legislature.
