Out of compliance sex offender arrested in La Grande

LA GRANDE – On Monday, July 27, at around 2:00 p.m., the La Grande Police Department arrested 51-year-old Benjamin Breazile (unknown address) on multiple charges, including Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
According to the LGPD, officers initially conducted a field interview with Breazile near the intersection of H Avenue and 21st Street. During the interview, dispatch informed officers that Breazile was out of compliance with his sex offender registration, leading to his arrest. During the arrest, illicit drugs were found on his person, with his parole officer then putting a detainer on him.
According to a recent LGPD press log, Breazile was specifically charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Parole and Probation Detainer, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine. As of the time of writing, Breazile was lodged in the Union County Jail.
