CLARKSTON, WA — One person’s been arrested after three manufactured homes were destroyed in a fire Tuesday.

Multiple departments responded to the blaze at 1650 13th Street at around 6 p.m. to find a fully engulfed manufactured home with the flames spreading to neighboring homes. Two vehicles were also destroyed, and a barn was heavily damaged.

One person was arrested on suspicion of arson while the investigation continues. The suspect was not named.

“I am very thankful for the hard work of all the fire crews working together,” said Noel Hardin, fire chief for Asotin County Fire District No. 1. “Temperatures were 95 degrees when crews attacked the fire, and the Valley automatic aid program is invaluable this time of year because the heat takes a toll on firefighters very quickly.”

No injuries were reported, and the American Red Cross responded to assist residents who were displaced.
